Jessica Herndon is an award-winning entertainment journalist, content and brand strategist, media coaching expert, and filmmaker who has covered music, television, film, fashion, beauty, fitness, and contemporary art.
Jessica’s work has appeared in Vanity Fair, Elle, Marie Claire, W, The Hollywood Reporter, Women’s Health, Cosmopolitan, the Associated Press, Essence, People, Spin, Billboard, Seventeen, Flaunt, Nylon, and LA Weekly. She's also been a guest on CNN and AXSLive.
She has interviewed a myriad of entertainers from Mariah Carey to Beyonce, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Kerry Washington, Zendaya, Zoë Kravitz, Halle Berry, Issa Rae, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Lupita Nyong’o, Kate Hudson, Rosario Dawson, Chadwick Boseman, Joaquin Phoenix, Nas, Gabrielle Union, Snoop Dogg, Drake, P!nk, Phil Collins, Penélope Cruz, and more.
Currently, she is on the brand and editorial team at the Sundance Institute. She has also held positions at People, the Associated Press, Viacom, Whalerock Industries, Wild Sky Media, and Entertainment Studios.
In 2012 she was honored with an L.A. Press Club Award for the People cover story "Whitney Houston: A Tragic End."
Jessica studied Creative Writing and Film at the UC Riverside, Screenwriting at UCLA, and Digital Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy where she wrote, directed, and edited the break-up short Already Over.
As a producer and casting coordinator, Jessica collaborated with Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions and Fullscreen on the AT&T Hello Lab’s filmmaker mentoring program, and produced the indie dark comedy A Whole Snack with 1102 Prod.
